| The IBM Gallery was mounting an exhibit of microphotography, and gave us a series of pictures like this one, but most were from the vegetable kingdom. Naturally, this giant fruit-fly seemed to have more potential as an attention grabber. The client loved the ad, but when all was said and done, couldn't stomach the notion of having that classic IBM logo co-habitating with this image. So the ad was killed. I recently spotted the same photograph being touted on the front page of a supermarket tabloid as a shot of an alien. Go figure. |
